I am a disabled, single female in the midst of prayer about moving to Cuenca. I love your blog, honesty and most importantly, your relationship with the Lord. I would love the opportunity to chat and possibly meet-up in Cuenca upon my arrival. Could we communicate via email? Love the weather here - our #1 reason for coming! So glad to be out of that Oregon Willamette Valley rain. When are you coming to Cuenca? Stay in touch and one day we'll meet.
For now, hope the posts and photos bring you to this wonderful place right from where you are.
LindaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03218571411311922097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8831951504205975496.post-40020796578731878302013-03-19T14:32:14.414-07:002013-03-19T14:32:14.414-07:00Great looking couple ! Our marriage license was only good for 90 days according to immigration. They said the police report will not expire since we have applied now for our viasas and are here and not leaving the country until we are approved. The delay for getting our documents in to immigration sooner was because we had such difficulty opening up a bank account at Banco Pichincha to have our investment money transferred from Oregon. All these long delays were due to our facilitator not being on top of it with the bank fiasco and not watching our dates for us. I cannot comment on what and why your facilitator is telling you something different. I only know our story and experience. Hope this clarifies your question.
Linda Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03218571411311922097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8831951504205975496.post-72515427279560740532013-02-17T07:49:22.413-08:002013-02-17T07:49:22.413-08:00Great blog. Thought all your documents were good once they were apostilled in the US except the background check. Our documents are on hold right now and our faclitor said everything never expires? Would love your input on this. Heres our blog just wanted to share it with you. http://www.atruetalltale.wordpress.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8831951504205975496.post-34980331322044085512013-02-16T08:33:41.906-08:002013-02-16T08:33:41.906-08:00Yes, Shadley,

I was the one holding the folder of rejected documents, pretending to smile, and waiting in line for another hour just to get one question answered while you and Bo chatted. Whatever you can get done in the States that would actually be accepted here will be a good thing! It could save you a lot of money, time, and frustration, but then you won't have crazy stories to blog about like me - such a tradeoff!!! Just be sure you tear up any cards you were given when you met us at immigration (if you know what I mean...)

Oh, how I love Sra. Zoila and her family AND HER TAMALES. I loved your post (all of them) and I was so happy that you and Chad both got to experience this wonderful lady and her amazing food.

Thanks for your words of encouragement.
Onward we go. It will be an interesting journey and I cannot wait until it's over and done with. We did get our DHL delivery this morning with two copies of our apostilled marriage certificates - another step closer to what we must do. It sure is getting expensive!!
Thank you Donna for kind words.
LindaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03218571411311922097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8831951504205975496.post-124729455960050752013-02-15T08:45:33.789-08:002013-02-15T08:45:33.789-08:00Oh good! Funny, how we can laugh about things after the fact, but when we're in the midst of the process IT'S NOT FUN OR FUNNY. We're moving along now with more time and less stress.
Thank you Mara, for caring.
LindaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03218571411311922097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8831951504205975496.post-51000422068504476822013-02-15T02:06:20.872-08:002013-02-15T02:06:20.872-08:00Hey, I think I ran into you at immigration on the ...Hey, I think I ran into you at immigration on the very day you are talking about in this blog post.... now I understand the frustration. It was nice to meet you both. My most recent post chronicles my day at immigration. It would seem we are running around doing the same things... Stay well and hope all works out. We will try to get things started back here in the states before we make the final move. Hope that makes it a little less frustrating. Loved your tamale blog post. She is a great lady...
